Trees and power lines are not a good combination, both can sway in high winds, more especially in hot weather when carrying heavy loads or in cold weather if covered with ice. In an effort to combat this ever fast growing problem Franklin Electric has contracted Affordable Tree Service to maintain the almost 800 miles of right of way. Currently Affordable Tree Service will be working on a 3 month rotation on each end of the service areas of Franklin Electric. For questions or concerns please call (256) 332-2730.

A.H. Akins, better known as "H" to all who ever had the pleasure to meet him, has retired from Franklin Electric Cooperative after 60 years of dedicated service. H came to work at the co-op in June of 1958 and has spent the last 49 years as general manager. Even though he will be greatly missed, Franklin Electric's Board of Trustees and employees wish him all the best in his retirement and are forever grateful for his unwavering commitment of service to the co-op.
